How to set up Parallels Desktop travel mode

Step 1: Launch the Parallels Desktop application

Click the Parallels icon on the Mac menu bar and select "Control Center.

The Parallels Desktop Control Center appears.

Step 2: Click on the [gear] icon

Installed virtual machines are shown here.

Once launched, the Control Center will appear. Click on the gear icon of the virtual machine for which you want to set the travel mode.

Step 3: Click on "Options

Click on "Options" at the top of the settings window.

Travel mode options

Automatic Entry

In this section, you choose when to automatically initiate travel mode in the virtual machine.

Select one of the following

When using battery power:Select this option if you want the travel mode to always start when the Mac is unplugged and begin running on battery power.

Battery power :This menu allows you to select the level of battery power that will initiate travel mode in the virtual machine.

Not used: Select this option if you do not want to switch the virtual machine to travel mode.

automatic termination

In this section, you choose when the virtual machine will automatically exit travel mode.

Select one of the following

When connected to a power sourceSelect this option if you want to exit travel mode when the virtual machine is connected to the power supply. Select this option to exit travel mode when the virtual machine is connected to power.

Not used: Select this option if you do not want to automatically exit the travel mode of the virtual machine. Only manual operation is possible.
