Which should I buy?

Who should buy the subscription version?

  • Parallels Those who find Access attractive.
  • Those who find Parallels Desktop Pro attractive
  • Those who update macOS every year and want to continue using the latest version of Parallels without any special procedures.
  • Those who are the type to keep up with macOS updates and will be introduced before the new Parallels Desktop is released (probably after January since it will be announced in September).

Who should buy the buy-out (regular) version

  • Those who do not update macOS immediately after macOS is released. Or those who continue to use older versions as is.
  • Those who update macOS every year but have no problem waiting to buy the occasional sale item from Parallels to update their OS.

The older version of Parallels Desktop is not compatible with the latest macOS, so after updating macOS, Parallels Desktop must also be updated to be usable.

summary

In this article.Parallels DesktopComparison of buy-in and subscription was explained.

Incidentally, I use the buy-out version because I do not use Windows that often and only occasionally run software that can only be used with Windows.

We have never had a single problem with the bought-in version, as we don't particularly want updates.

With subs, I don't want to have to pay for them every year, so if you only use Parallels once a week or so, I'd suggest the buyout version!

I hope the article is helpful.
