How to migrate Windows installed on BootCamp to Parallels

Add BootCamp Windows to Parallels

Step 1: Launch the Parallels Desktop application

Click the Parallels icon on the Mac menu bar and select "Control Center.

The Parallels Desktop Control Center appears.

Click the [+] button in the Control Center

Click the [+] button in the Control Center.

[Select "Use Windows from Boot Camp" and click "Continue

[Select "Use Windows from Boot Camp" and click "Continue.

Click [Continue].

[Click "Continue.

Check [I have confirmed] and click [Continue].

[Check the "Confirmed" checkbox and click "Continue.

Click [Create

Specify a name and installation location.

This time, the default settings are left as is, with the name set to [My Boot Camp] and the destination set to [/Users/(user name)/Parallels].

After completing the settings, click "Create" to proceed.

Virtual machine configuration begins.

Once the virtual machine has been configured, theThe Boot Camp virtual machine you created will appear in the Control Center of Parallels.

Importing BootCamp Windows to Parallels

Click File > Boot Camp Import on the menu bar.

Select the virtual machine [My Boot Camp] in the Boot Camp area of the Control Center and click File > Import Boot Camp in the menu bar.

Click "Continue" when the Boot Camp import screen appears.

Click [Create

Next, set the name and destination of the virtual machine.

Here we set the name to [Imported My Boot Camp] and the destination to [/Users/(username)/Parallels].

After completing the settings, click "Create".

Boot Camp import will begin.

[Click "Finish.

The imported virtual machine [Imported My Boot Camp] will be added to the Control Center.

Delete Boot Camp virtual machine from Parallels Desktop Control Center

Select the Boot Camp virtual machine [My Boot Camp

Select the Boot Camp virtual machine [My Boot Camp].

Click [Delete "My Boot Camp"].

Click on File > Delete "My Boot Camp" in the menu bar.

Click [Move to Trash

[Click on "Move to Trash.

Once completed, the Boot Camp virtual machine [My Boot Camp] will be removed from the Control Center.

This completes the migration from BootCamp to Paralles.
